Tough Race Walker - Tanya Mcintosh

I like Tanya Mcintosh because I like Race walking.
Tanya Mcintosh can walk faster than many people can run. Tanya is a race walker. As a top teenage athlete, she has triumphed in several national meets.

Race walking is a sport in which more and more people are starting to participate. It looks easy, but it's not.

In race walking, one foot must always be touching the ground. Walkers move by placing one foot directly in front of the other one in a long stride. They rotate their hips during the stride. Then they transfer their body weight from the heel to the toes and push off for the next step. At the same time, they pump their arms. Tanya pumps her arms in a way that looks like a series of boxing jabs.
Tanya started race walking when she was 10. Since then she has set several future goals. Her ambitions were to walk a mile in less than eight minutes and to make the Sydney Olympic team.
